Some Thoughts

I went to drop off Catalina to school this morning and I saw the American flag half mast in the front of the school and I started to think of "today". Then I was talking with my friend Shelly about 9/11, and I drove back home thinking about so many other things. It's amazing that its been 8 years since the 9/11 attack. I remember that Andy and I were recently dating but yet still thousand of miles away from each other. From the very beginning of our relationship the desire to be sealed in the temple was so strong because of the 9/11 attack. Due to this horrendous incident thousands of brave men and women have risked their lives to save others, and to fight for this country. Andy missed 8 months of Catalina's 1st year because of 2 deployments.
These 4 pictures are from the 2 deployments (2005-2006) "goodbyes" and "welcome home". I think they are just precious. It was a very hard time for us, specially for Andy to miss so much and not been able to see the many many changes during our baby's 1st year.

There are others that have spent more time overseas than in their houses for the last 8 years. And there are so many other beautiful souls that didn't get the chance to reunite with their families again. I just hope and pray for this sad war to end. The knowledge and certainty that life doesn't end with death is just priceless. I hope everyone could know that there is a whole eternity to hug and love our loved ones, and that we can be uplifted by projecting our lives towards that goal.
