6 Years and Still In Love...

Today is our Sixth Anniversary. I can not believe how quick time goes. You can see how much we have changed. We have also added our most precious treasures "Catalina and Julienne" into our lives. There are so many memories, and a lot going on right now, and a whole eternity to go.

I always say...

"Life is better when we are together"

The Sweet and The Argumentative Catalina...

Catalina is such a big girl. We have so much fun listening to her and seeing the things she learns and do everyday. She is so sweet and cute. She took the role of the big sister very seriously. She is mommy's helper in every way. She can say the sweetest things and we can also have serious conversations and sometimes even argue about something.
Here are some fun dialogues:
#1
Me: (laying down on the sofa)
Catalina: Mommy you're so beautiful (caressing my face). Your hair is so pretty (touching my hair). Mommy you are a princess.
Me: Yes, I am the Little Mermaid.
Catalina: No mommy you're so silly, you are too big. (pointing at herself) Catalina is the "Little" Mermaid.

#2
The other day I was trying to clean the house while the girls were playing around. I told Catalina to stop persuading Julienne to go upstairs with her because she was little and she could fall and get hurt. She disobeyed me so I repeated what I said earlier with a firmer tone of voice.
Catalina: (angry) mommy you are a monster!
Me: No, I think you are being a monster now.
Catalina: I'm not a monster. I'm a princess!
Me: Princesses obey their moms, and you are not obeying mommy now.

#3
Grandma Margaret sent a few things for the girls. I opened the box and gave Catalina her things. She took off the shirt she was wearing and try one of the ones Grandma sent for her, and said: (sniffing) It smells lovely. It smells like Grandma!!!

#4
The other day I cut Julienne's bangs. Catalina wanted to cut her hair too but I like her hair the way it is and didn't want to do it.
Catalina: Please mommy, I want my hair like Julienne.
Me: ask daddy.
Catalina: Daddy I want my hair like Julienne.
Andy: No Catalina, your hair is so beautiful just as it is now.
Catalina: nooo Pleaseee
Me: Catalina you are princess Ariel!
Catalina: (feeling all better and happy)
The next day in the morning I was doing the girls hairs to go out...(Andy was at work)
Catalina: Mommy I want my hair like Julienne.
Me: No, Daddy said no.
Catalina: Daddy is not here. Daddy says Yes!

I love this picture. I have no idea how she hide her whole leg so perfectly.

Julienne

Julienne is getting so big. She looks like a big girl now. I miss "the baby". She is all over the place and gives me heart attacks everyday. She climbs up everything. Since the last little laceration on her lip she has been getting hurt pretty much every weekend. It's been a totally new experience for us. We were definitely not prepared for her.
She is so cute and social. When we are in the store she smiles and waves saying Hi! to everybody. She is learning so much everyday and saying lots of words like: hi, hola, coogo (jugo=juice), agua (water), "caca" (while she is going poo poo in her diaper), Caca (Cata), Daddy, Dada, Mama, cookie, cracker, bae bae (bye bye), baa (boo), up, nae nae (night night), beebee (baby), "tuto" (a chilean word to say "sleep" and "blanquet"), mwah, che-che (leche=milk), cha-chas (gracias=thanks), pen (ven=come), go, dow (down), clap, tap, pat, no, yes, ya, yeap, si, yum, pan (bread), naniz (nariz=nose), caba (Cuba), dut (dust). She also makes the sounds and actions of the many songs we have learned in kindermusik. She loves to play mommy with her dolls and play the drums.

This is why I prefer to feed Julienne instead of letting her "explore".

Our April-May Updates...

I've been the worst blogger ever. Many things have happened the last month.
The last week in April we went to Jacksonville, Fl for about a week. Andy had a work conference and the girls and I went to chill out a little bit. I did a lot of fun shopping, and on our way back we did some touristy things. We went to St Augustine and took the Sight Seeing Train to go around town. We went into the Castillo de San Marcos, a very cool Spanish fort. Finally we passed by Stu's pace (Andy's 2nd cousin) in Daytona Beach.

This it has been the girls' 2nd semester enrolled in the Kindermusik program the Community College offers. We enjoy it so much and the teacher is great. The music and materials are awesome and the girls and I have learned so much.

The weekend of the 16th Andy's Uncle Louis, Aunt Nancy, and their good friend Arlenne came to visit us from NY/Jupiter. We had so much fun with them and really enjoyed their company. I got so depressed the day they left. I love when people (especially family) come to visit.
